Healthy Restaurants —
discovery app.
A mobile directory for finding healthy restaurants while travelling — designed for people who move a lot and refuse to abandon how they eat just because they're on the road.
Travellers who care about how they eat lose access to their kitchens and their usual spots the moment they leave town. Generic restaurant finders surface options sorted by reviews or distance — not by whether the menu actually matches a dietary preference.
The product had to feel trustworthy on the first screen: travellers don't have time to vet a brand-new app for an hour before deciding whether to follow its recommendation to dinner. Brand, copy and interaction had to read as "this place will feed you well" from the very first interaction.
Location-first flow
Onboarding asks for the one thing the product can’t function without (location) and lets everything else come later. Once a user is in, the default screen is a curated map of organic restaurants nearby — no search, no taps required.
Restaurant profile that earns the visit
The profile screen leads with the signals a healthy-eater actually uses — sourcing, menu transparency, reviews from people with similar preferences — instead of generic star ratings. Designed so a quick scroll is enough to commit to the visit.
Brand inside the product
Treated brand as part of the UX, not a wrapper. The illustrations, motion and microcopy reinforce that the app is built by people who eat the same way the user does — so trust is established before the first restaurant is even shown.
